- 16 aspiring teams in a management tournament - to find out who have got the best management brains.
In summer 2006 experienced executive producers of AA Vision Studio Aarne Kraam and Aili Kraam together with management consultant and lecturer Marko Rillo created a concept for television show - "Management Brains" (in Estonian language: JuhtimisAju). The TV show format was largely inspired by management case study solving competition that Marko Rillo had co-organized for years. After piloting in 2007, the first season of the show (16 episodes) was produced in co-operation with entrepreneurship support agency Enterprise Estonia. It was aired nation-wide in Estonia since January 2008, directed by Vilja Nyholm-Palm.
Concept of the TV Show
In every show 2 competing teams visit a company where they are introduced to a real life management problem. The teams solve the case by gathering additional information, by talking to people, and by preparing their solution. After they present their solution to a professional jury consisting of a practitioner, a management professor and a consultant it is decided: which one of the competitors can progress towards the finals.
Concept of the TV Show
In every show 2 competing teams visit a company where they are introduced to a real life management problem. - - The competition is interesting, because each show brings the audience behind the closed doors of the companies that are well known to them.
- - The competition is familiar, because most of us know a feeling what does it mean to try to work in a team under extreme time pressure.
- - The competition is challenging as the teams are required to solve a diverse array of management problems in couple of hours and present their best solutions within a few minutes.
- - The competition is fun, because complex tasks force the participants to come up with out-of box ideas and strange situations frequently turn out funny.
- - And above all, the competition is educating, because the feedback of the professional jury gives some good business ideas even to the most experienced viewers.
